Main Responsibilities
The tasks of the Data Entry Operator and his/her team vary depending on the company and the nature of the data to be processed. In general, their main role is to enter data and information into databases, spreadsheets or information management systems. They ensure that the documents entered are accurate, reliable and comply with company standards. If errors are detected, it is their responsibility to correct them while ensuring the quality of the information.
The Data Entry Operator may also be required to create and update administrative documents such as reports, invoices, estimates or payslips. They may also draft letters or e-mails, and sometimes even take care of reprographics.
In some cases, the Data Entry Operator may help coordinate projects in collaboration with other team members. They may also help managers and company executives to manage their time, in particular by planning meetings and communicating with external stakeholders.
