Main Responsibilities
The Facility Manager is responsible for managing all facility operations and services, including maintenance, security, cleaning, servicing, energy supply and repairs. Preventive maintenance plans are drawn up to ensure that equipment and infrastructure operate smoothly. They also supervise the renovation, construction and fitting-out of work areas.
The Facility Manager manages the budget allocated to facilities, ensuring that costs are kept under control and that projects are completed on schedule. They also guarantee the safety of the building and its occupants. To do this, they must ensure compliance with safety standards, while carrying out regular checks and implementing contingency plans in the event of an incident.
The role of Facility Manager often involves interaction with external service providers to ensure the quality of services, such as security, cleaning and maintenance companies. The Facility Manager's role is to ensure that the services provided meet the needs of the company and its employees.
