Finance Director (CFO)

The Finance Director is a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing all financial aspects of the organization to ensure long-term growth, profitability, and compliance.

They are responsible for shaping the financial vision of the company and aligning it with overall business objectives. Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and board of directors, the Finance Director provides data-driven insights, optimizes financial performance, and ensures the organization maintains strong financial discipline.

They also lead risk management efforts, implement robust financial controls, and continuously seek process improvements to support business transformation and scalability.

Main Responsibilities

The Finance Director plays a strategic and operational role in the financial management of the organization. They are responsible for developing and leading the financial strategy in alignment with corporate goals.

This includes establishing annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and performance metrics to track financial health. They oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local and international accounting standards. They manage cash flow and working capital to support business needs and advise on investment opportunities and cost optimization.

In collaboration with department heads, they assess business risks, support M&A activity, and participate in key strategic decisions. The Finance Director also recruits, mentors, and manages the finance team, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.

  • ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite): Supports automation, real-time reporting, and efficient financial operations.

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA or CFA are highly valued
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
