Property developer

Role Overview

Property developers are responsible for planning, forecasting and organising the construction of a building. Their job is to find a building plot and appoint the project manager. They are also responsible for marketing the building lots for a fee. Property developers may be responsible for commercial property, residential buildings or serviced residences. They act as intermediaries between local authorities, banks, financing institutions, builders and buyers. He is responsible for obtaining the necessary permits for the building work and for organising publicity for the property once the work has been completed.

Property developers generally come from business schools or specific real estate studies. However, there are also opportunities for sandwich courses in the various real estate professions. It is advisable to find out about the details of these courses online.

Property developers can set up on their own after accumulating years of experience within a company.
