Role Overview
A Real Estate Negotiator is a salesperson who works in an agency or on a freelance basis. Their main role is to assist property sellers with all the steps involved in the transaction. To do this, they regularly canvass for sales mandates. They need to be on the lookout for businesses, flats and houses on the market.
As an intermediary between sellers and buyers, the negotiator is involved in the sale or purchase of property, and may also be responsible for rental management. With a perfect knowledge of the local market in which they operate, sales representatives are responsible for arguing with customers and using their negotiating skills to persuade them to conclude the sale.
A property negotiator's day is very full, because as well as prospecting, he or she is responsible for evaluating and promoting the property, drawing up the mandate and carrying out visits. With the increase in the number of property transactions, this profession is growing rapidly, and can offer attractive salaries to agents working in this sector. As independent estate agents, they can earn commission on the sale price.
