David NG: Talent sustainability can be developed with these 3 strategies

David NG, Regional Managing Director of Asia at Morgan Philips Group put forward that, talent sustainability can be developed with these 3 strategies, seeking talents from within, adjusting the hiring criteria, and looking beyond your competitors, and taking risks in hiring external candidates.

David pointed out that the talent shortage problem includes costs increase, which is also related to inflation. There are several ways for organizations and companies to optimize costs and increase efficiency. The first is to modernize your HR processes, or more specifically recruitment processes., and the second is to use interim solutions or hire freelancers. The third is to invest in your employer branding “There are solutions in the West that we haven't seen in China yet. Recruiting freelancers has been relatively popular in the West. But in China, there are more permanent employment, so you may start to explore interim solutions or recruit freelancers.”

David also pointed out that you need to work on your employer branding to make it more appealing to the candidates. However, as an employer, you also need to modernize your HR platform to convince more people to believe in the value of your organization, which can help to attract talent.

The forum took “Gather Global Talents and Enable Innovative Development” as the theme and brought together representatives of the government, international organizations, think tanks, and industry to jointly discuss in offline and online ways.

As the only multinational talent consulting company invited to participate, Morgan Philips shared the best practices in related fields, including the development of major global talent centers and innovation heights, the talent demand of multinational enterprises and international talent policy innovation, and high-end international talent training mechanism and innovation in the context of multiculturalism and multilateral cooperation.
