Inspirational quotes encourage us to do something that we wouldn’t normally do. However, crossing the line of your comfort zone is not easy. Rather than rendering the fear, it creates more anxiety.
But what exactly is Comfort Zone? Why is it that we tend to get comfortable with the familiar and our routines, but when we’re introduced to new things, the glimmer fades so quickly?
Our comfort zone is the level at which you feel comfortable, with ease, and familiarity. Stepping out of your comfort zone and growing consistently, is to lower your resistance to doing the task and it builds up confidence. Our comfort zone is our natural, neutral state – a place where stress and anxiety are minimal. There’s nothing wrong with being in your comfort zone unless you start holding yourself back instead of challenging yourself to learn, grow, and try new things.
Comfort zone benefits in obvious ways: regular happiness, low anxiety, and reduced stress. In order to maximize our performance, we need a state of relative anxiety – a space where stress levels are slightly higher than normal. This space is called “Optimal Anxiety”, and it’s just outside our comfort zone. Stepping out of your comfort zone can get yourself to the next level and accomplish something and accepts challenges and can turn up into an amazing result.
